Years ago Southern Star played for the 70th anniversary of the Opry.

I had the pleasure to meet Bill at the Kentucky Opry, in Draffenville, Ky., in May 1993. Bill had fallen on ice and had a bandage on his right hand, I believe. It was a fine performance. I also saw Bill and the Bluegrass Boys in Louisville, Ky., at the KFC Bluegrass music festival back in 1981-3. Bill is a legend.
