I got this fiddle from Steve Perry-Gianna Violins. I took it apart and rebuilt it as a lefty fiddle. It came with a nice-looking but not-so-toneful sprayed-on finish. I removed the finish from the body and gave it a very light french polish, with just a hint of red tint added on the sides and back. I plan to eventually re-bush the pegbox and put the tuning pegs in the proper position for lefthanded playing. I also made a lefty chinrest for it, using a modified right chinrest reshaped with a dremel tool and then covered with brown-colored craft foam, which is kinda suede-like.
