Like your exhibit table Peter. I've dabbled in the making a bit ( 5 cigar-boxes & 2 fiddles from kits....LOL ), but me old hands are getting too shakey I fear. I started too late. It's given me a great appreciation of the luthiers tho. Keep on a whittling & post us a tune of yer playin.

Thanks, Doyle. I saw my first cigar box fiddle last year, made by a fiddler that must be pushing 80, or maybe more. It sounded ok to me. Shaky hands and poor eyesight take their toll, not to mention the strength and stamina it takes to carve that hard old maple. I find when I am heavy into carving mode, my hands aren't much good for playing.
