I’ve always enjoyed music and the way playing an instrument can bring people together. My main interests are guitar, mandolin, and fiddle, and I enjoy exploring different styles of acoustic and roots music. I started playing in the mid-2000s and have gradually developed my skills by learning songs, practicing chords and melodies, and listening to different musicians. I’m particularly interested in traditional music, folk, country, bluegrass, blues, and classic songwriting. One of the things I enjoy most about playing music is learning from other musicians. I like discovering different approaches to playing, comparing techniques, finding interesting arrangements, and picking up ideas from people with more experience. I’m also interested in the history behind songs and instruments. Learning where a particular style came from or how musicians developed their sound often makes the music even more interesting. Outside of playing, I enjoy listening to music, discovering new artists, following live performances, and participating in online music communities. I’m always happy to exchange ideas, discuss instruments, recommend recordings, and learn something new from other players. I joined the community to connect with fellow musicians, improve my playing, discover new music, and enjoy the friendly side of making music together.
