Grew up in a family where the boys played different instruments. Always chromatic and diatonic harmonicas, mandolins, pianos, accordions, xylophones, autoharps, saxophones, guitars and eventually pedal steels. My dad was forced to take violin lessons as a kid so he didn’t have those reminders around. Brother attended Berklee. He was the musical genius of the family. I always considered myself more a drinker with a music problem. Just kidding. Tried all sorts of instruments and still trying. Played out as a hobby in bands. Now retired from a stressful job and giving music more time but just into jamming with friends. Most of my friends are musicians. I relate best to them. No pressure to hit the right notes in informal jams. Just having fun.
