This is a Guadagnini violin copy from the 1890's. It is a good looking slightly big fiddle with great power to drive a session or square dance. The one piece back has nice medium/wide flame with tighter flamed maple for the sides and neck. Colored in an amber to brown varnish. It is a fiddle that has an old look, yet never abused. Length of the back is 14-1/2", width is 8-3/8".
Bought from Bob Smakula in 2015 and after sitting in its case for over 10 years, it's back from a fresh setup by a local luthier (new bridge, etc) and bow rehairing.
It comes with carbon fiber bow and vintage case.
