This is a fine Cremonese violin made by Stefano Trabucchi, one of the leading makers in Cremona today. His violins are made with one piece backs and he typically chooses some of the most eye-catching wood he can find. This violin is a wonderful example, with a stunning back and ribs to match. It was made for the 2012 Mondo Musica international convention and shown there. The button has a special inlay placed by the maker. The label identifies it as made for Mondo Musica, and another label above it identifies it as part of a 20th anniversary “Golden Series.”
This is a true modern Italian violin. It is bold and powerful and it makes no excuses. It is easy to play and responds to the bow without effort. Not an instrument for the faint of heart!
It will be shipped in a lightweight case unless a different option is desired. Bows are available as well, some of which are listed in this site.
