This is an old German commercial bow from the early 20th century, the kind you’d find in mail-order catalogs, and commonly found with old German violins of the era. It has a Brazilwood stick and is nickel-mounted. The condition is rather good for its vintage and it has been maintained well for decades.
It plays very well for an inexpensive bow and has been used by a recording jazz violinist in DC. It is stamped *ARTIST* on the handle as seen in the third photo.
