Hey peoples of the fiddle world!
I composed a new piece for string orchestra called the Fiddle Suite, which brings three original fiddle tunes together in a patchwork of linked themes and twisted rhythms. It's the most ambitious and personal thing I've ever written and I hope you enjoy listening!
The Berklee String Orchestra just premiered it at the BPC in Boston, MA on 5/4/09, and this mp3 is a live recording.

If you really dig it and you or someone you know plays with an orchestra, string quartet, or other formation, the score and parts to the Fiddle Suite as well as other pieces are all available on my website, www.andyreiner.com in the String Music section.

I REALLY, REALLY like it. I hope you won't mind me saying this, but It reminds me of Nashville Chamber Orchestra's Blackberry Winter and that is one of my favorite pieces . . .

Good job, Brah! Looks like there might be a career in film scoring in your future.

Nice, Andy! Fresh, original, and it works!
(Had to wait until I had some time at home with my good speakers. I don't think the laptop at work would have done it justice....)
