From the department of "who would have thunk" department: Tom and I went into the studio here at Fun Times Records, Inc. after we were asked by the editors to record the theme music for an animated series called Apocalypse Lane, to appear on the gamer's website The Escapist. Tommy wrote the lyrics based on some ideas from the creative folks at The Escapist. The show is about some happy people living in post-Apocalyptic suburbia, and being all "edgey" and stuff.

Here is the 20-second intro theme. Tom is on lead and harmony vocal, banjo uke and 5-string banjo, and I am playing fiddle, guitar and harmony vocals. We also did a longer outtro with 2 versus and choruses.

What do you you all think? Can cyber-gaming cartoons jibe with old time music?

We're not quite sure what to think!

Reminds me of when I used to sing jingles for radio commercials, back when it was lucrative. Very odd stuff!

Kinda fun though. I bet you guys had a blast recording this.

Sounds a lot like Waterbound/Stay All Night- but still there's a difference!
