These audio posts are from a Waltz Jam session held at the Down East Country Dance Festival in Topsham, Maine recently. These pieces are from Bill Matthiesen's "The Waltz Book", probably not new to most of you, but a definate recommendation if you enjoy waltzes.

I was able to get permission from Larry Unger to post his "Judy & Jim's Wedding", and also Bob McQuillen for his "Amelia". Unfortunately my Amelia WAV file got corrupted somehow and mixed with Ash Grove. I was able to save Ash Grove, but sadly Amelia is unsalvagable. I am waiting on word from Susan Conger (Emily's Waltz) and Jerry Holland (My Cape Breton Home) for permission to post those as well. Traditional pieces are The Ash Grove, Southwind, and Gentle Maiden.

My little RCA digital recorder didn't do too bad of a job, but it certainly is not studio quality. Instruments represented included a woodwind of some sort, a couple whistles, a flute, a harp, a couple guitars and a mandolin, and of course a number of violins.
