This is from a jam last summer at Swannanoa during Old-Time Week. It's Tommy Jarrell's version of Backstep Cindy.

John Engle was leading the jam. He's spent years studying Tommy Jarrell's fiddling. Erynn Marshall and I were the other fiddlers. Kirk Sutphin wasn't playing banjo on this one -- he arrived a few tunes later and played banjo with us until the jam broke up.
I have to say I'm in awe of Erynn's ability to play second fiddle. I was trying my best to keep up and keep out the way when I couldn't. Erynn was improvising interesting stuff, cracking jokes, and keeping up with John.

One of my favorite tunes of all time! I've gotten scared off of trying to play this tune after I heard Tim O'Brien do it in Songs From the Mountain. Maybe I'll give it another shot.
Just call me Dwight.
