Thanx so much !! Curley Maple is a project I play in with my wife Noel guitar zouk mando (that is her with me in my profile pic) , ....Chris Enghauser bass,.... and Christian Lopez guitar and mando . We all live around Athens GA and have a lot of fun digging up different tunes to do. I learned this tune from a James Bryan recording. He is such a great fiddler, he gave me a few quick lessons at some festivals back in the mid 1970's. A very kind person.
The Elzik's inspiration came from a Sheila Kay Adams recording. She did a medley of The Young Hunting / Elzik's Farewell. John Doyle played rhythm guitar on the track. John's guitar playing blows me away !! We recorded everything at my house in the living room. We are getting ready to release our first record very soon so stay tuned.....
