Howdy y'all,
I'm in the market for a new instrument, and I played two fiddles from a Nashville shop that I loved the sound of. Both were labeled to a luthier named Ralph Isaacson in Iron, Minnesota. They were labeled #6 and #8. I didn't make a purchase as I'm waiting to save up a bit more.
I'm a Minnesota native so having an instrument from my home state would be exciting, I did some research about the name but couldn't find anything. Does anyone here know about this luthier and whether he is still making instruments?

Not a maker I’ve come across. Doing a bit of Googling, I found that he was a winner in the senior division of a fiddle competition ten years ago and a reference to him being a regular part of the Old Time fiddle scene in his area. Perhaps if you can get in touch with the organization that hosts or hosted the competition, a member will be able to provide more information.
