Kennedy Creek Old Time Music Festival
Sept 4 - 7 in Suches, GA.
I think this is their 2nd year. I've ben looking for a place to camp an play. Yes - I know about Clifftop. Maybe next year. Just didn't work out this year.
And thinking about the Alabama Flk School Old Time Music Workshop in Oct as well as the Tenn Valley Fiddlers Convention.
Missing anything? Anyone else planning on being at any of these?

I usually make Athens (TN Valley) and may try this Kennedy Creek if my new job schedule works out. It's already cost me Clifftop this year.
Another one more or less in the area is the Blackpot Festival in Lafayette, LA, at the end of Oct. I haven't been down there in a couple of years, but they always have some OT-oriented stages and a pretty decent OT jam scene. A little farther off (time-wise) is Breakin' Up Winter next March.

Been to Breaking Up Winter. There is another event - just outside Nashville in Pegram. 8th of January -.Happens the weekend around the 8th of January (fancy that). I've only been once, but enjoyed myself. I was able to see the Stuart Brothers before Trevor passed. So glad we went.
I'll PM closer to Athens. I have an uncle that lives in Athens. Time to visit.

I was there last year, and had a great time.
If I weren't scheduled for cataract surgery a week before this year's, I'd have already booked a cabin at the venue. Not likely I'll make it, but if I'm capable of driving and feeling unusually energetic....

Leave out tomorrow. We have one of the "yurts" on the grounds reserved for our stay.
We are really looking forward to this!
Anyone else going to be there?
