I had my tablet about 10 inches from the fiddle, so you can tell how low volume is unplugged.

These are the original cheap strings that came with it.

The sound is obviously better for the player if you wear headphones, but you can practice without. I very much doubt if anyone in the next room would hear you practising.

Be best if you tried one in a shop.

Thank you Scotty, that gives a good idea! Saw it when you posted iy, but was busy training my dog. That is also something where progress is a matter of never giving up and believe in possibilities and where dedication and practice define success <3 Might not have the best or most expensive fiddles in the world, but by coincidence I did get a world class working dog for a more than reasonable price!!! And since yesterday I saw the light with her ... after years and years of preparation and trying to find out how and a couple of dogs to train tricks with in the past I know can only think : the sky is the limit!

Two major interests/ hobbies that keep me sharp and alive, as
I would put it: I can survive the war now ;-)

The very cool thing about this is the dog meanwhile just adores my fiddling <3

I'll give it some rest now and when time is ready I'll purchase an electric fiddle!
