This past Sunday I was gifted a ticket to see Tony Trischka about 20 mins from house on a Sunday after all the chores were finished. I grabbed my camera and tuned in my ears for what was one of the best acoustic bluegrass performances I've seen in some time. Unfortunately, I did not capture any audio but hopefully you'll get a sense of how it was through my images! Shad Cobb?? Holey Smokes!!!! The entire band was hitting it hard.

Tony looks like he's holding up well! One summer years ago I played a couple gigs with a version of Country Cooking that was Pete Wernick and Tony, banjos, Russ Barenberg, guitar and me trying to keep up on electric bass.
I also recorded this LP with Tony playing on a couple tracks. I like "Alcatraz Blues" with Tony and a triple fiddle section. youtu.be/DUEPAk0h26Y?feature=shared
Must have been a great show - glad you got to see it and snap some photos.
