I am probably fiddle retarded, but I have always enjoyed tunes like "Mississippi Sawyer", "Flop Eared Mule", "Ragtime Annie", etc.. They really make me tap my foot. Listeners seem to favor simple tunes with a good rhythm and simple melody.
As I good better playing the fiddle, I started playing harder material. But I smile every time I play one of those tunes.
