I am a novice, just starting about 10 months ago. I took 4 lessons then the teacher moved away. I have been learning by watching videos online. I was stalled in my progress although I continued to practice. I needed another fiddle to take with me as I work out of state for 2 weeks at a time and through recommendations on this site I contacted Royce Burt. I saw a shop fiddle that caught my eye and ear on his Youtube site. We worked out a very fair deal and I now have had the fiddle for about a month.
It changed everything. The sound, the setup must have been made solely for me ;) I have progressed in leaps and bounds In a few short weeks. I did not know how poorly my other fiddle was set up until I played this one. I can now play double stops and single notes with ease. the action is perfect. I cannot express how important the setup and having the right instrument affects everything. I truly cannot wait every day to play and see what new song or skill I can learn as well as review old ones. I feel truly blessed

I understand. Whether you are at the beginning of the beginning or well along the path, a quality musical instrument can make a profound difference in how much you dedicate to the instrument and how far you are able to get. Whether it is guilt over the amount you've paid or the sheer pleasure good sound and a good feel can provide, there is indeed something to be said for taking that risk and putting out a little more money than you should.

I am a huge fan of Royce Burt and his fiddles. I own several and I can’t say enough good things about them.

His fiddles are the best. Great players and reasonably priced. He is very easy to work with. No high pressure sales. I love watching when his new videos hit YouTube. I want to buy them all
