Forty Miles From Georgetown Without Any Whiskey
(uses only fingers 2 & 3). Hear it on Chirps's site (aka, Midwestern fiddler)

Nice tune, indeed. It would make good medley with Bring Me A Bottle, I Don't Care What.

Glenn, you can call me ZEN master when I could play a tune without any fingering or with no down nor up bowing.

That's funny, Bosco...I just had a little discussion on FiddleL with bluegrass fiddler, Jim Moss, who said, "I don't apply finger pressure directly to the strings when I play."

I said, "Huh?"

He replied, "It's a Zen thing".

Anyway, you are definately Master of 1st and 3rd finger tunes

stay tooned....

It is not the bow that moves. It is the mind.

Thank you for these great tunes. Your baby-o reminded me of a version I heard years ago on an album titled "Banjo music of the Southern Appalacha Mountains. Now I have to see if my father still has that cassette.

What do you do when the baby cries?
Stick a needle in the baby's eyes.

If that baby starts to grin,
Hit the baby with a rolling pin.

I love songs that make my children sleep lightly. *grin*

All right!
We have Zenglenn and Yopparai(drunkard) here. We don't have to go to Clifftop
