Hi there, has anyone got measurements of a 7 string violin neck? Especially the string spacing at the nut. Thanks in advance. Robert

I thought you were joking but I found this: 3d-varius.com/why-choose-5-6-7...c-violin/

For that I’d probably start by picking a fingerboard wide enough to accommodate seven strings. Then I’d cut it to 270 for the violin. With the fingerboard roughed out to the desired dimensions, I’d shape the neck around it. Using dividers I’d set my 1-7 spacing at the nut by eye, making sure there was just enough distance to the edges of the fingerboard that the fingers wouldn’t feel like they were going to drop off the sides. Once the external spacing was set, laying out the five remaining strings would just be a matter of subdivision.
