Everything on the site seems to be categorized into Old time, Bluegrass, jazz, etc... but no Texas style? Sure I'm biased, but I think that being as it's a standard at all of the major fiddle contests around the country, and has its own unique history, icons, traditions, and techniques, it ought to be given a little more recognition on this site.
For example, see the attached photo from the Lessons area on the site. There are categories for all kinds of fiddling... with the very notable omission of Texas style. It's not like it's some kind of small niche - this is one of the major styles out there! Kinda wondering why it's not included...

To be honest, I didn’t even know that part of the site existed.
Nothing gets broken down into specific styles on this site. It was tossed around a lot but was decided that if the site was broken down to further specifics, one might find themselves the only person posting and folks who “weren’t into that” might not even look, despite the fact that they might have something to add to the conversation if it weren’t style specific. Not enough interest beyond general old time fiddling has been shown to warrant it, at least not as long as I’ve been here (a long while).

As Chicken Man says, the site isn't broken up into various styles or genres. It just seems that way because the vast majority of the posters are OT players and fans. Yeah, it's true that when my posts stray off the OT path they're usually ignored but I've come to terms with that...

Hi Isaac I love Texas style fiddling, while my primary love is old time I would like to see you post some videos of your fiddling, I just watched your video of you playing at the state competition, how did you do? Sounded great! Loy
