Eric - I see you made use of the right hand side.

Now, please provide us with a switch in our preferences to turn this off. I don't need to see the newest posts since I only operate through the "Since last visit" switch when I come to the site. Besides, it is again interfering (sitting on top of) the cog to get to my editing of profile, etc.

I realize that I can get rid of the ad there by renewing my Union option, but that isn't in the cards at the moment.
