I got three new tunes up, all of them solo fiddle pieces. "Up Jumped Trouble" "Carroll County Blues" and "Cotton Eyed Joe". Go have a listen if you want to.

Well, I hear the slides, but I don't know what a 'slip chord' is. If I were accompanying I'd just do I-IV-V stuff.

Just call me Dwight.

Thanks, Andy. Fine stuff.
"Up Jumped Trouble" is what we used to call "Up Jumped the Devil" in the Texas panhandle in the 1940's.

stay tooned....

"Slip-Chording" is a type of fiddling, not guitar accompaniment or numbers or what have you. It's where the melody is played out by sliding from chord to chord instead of single noting. Ernest East played most all his tunes in this way (which is where I got my take from).
Glenn- Benton also called this "Up Jumped the Devil" as well.
