Eileen Ivers, Nadja Salerno Sonnenberg, Regina Carter 2002 with the Boston Pops... They look like they're having a good time, Eileen kills it on her solo & I liked Regina's 2nd solo too.



Eileen solo starts around 5:30, Regina's 2nd starts @ 8:30.

A true treat. Old King Cole would've forgotten about his pipe and bowl.  It's fun hearing how differently the three approach the instrument.  Poor Nadja was a little out of her element, but she was still game and having a good time.  Eileen seemed like she was freed from shackles when she launched into her celtic cadenza.  Regina, meantime, is the Queen of Cool.   And as one of my favorite Rockabilly tunes "Make Like a Rock and Roll" puts it, "What's this thing called a vye-oh-lin?"
