Does anyone know the origin of this tune?
We played it today and not a one of us knew where it came from. I've tried google and FHO etc - no luck. Here's the whole tune once through, Caroline.

Also, I think the title, "Spring in the Valley" is a play on the fact that Dave and Suzanne Edmundson of the Hot Mud Family lived in Spring Valley, OH. Tom McCreesh played in the band for a couple of years in the mid 1970's, and is on the record "buckeyes in the briarpatch." I think the tune maybe dates from more like 1974 or 1975.
