I got Christmas Morning from Sharman Hammons. Dwight Diller took me to Sharman's house one evening in '81. He didn't have his own fiddle and he hardly could fiddle anymore. Only tune he played was the fragment of this tune at the evening but he tried it again and again and again.
Merry Christmas!

And that right there is the fiddle I'm learning on! ![]()
What an honor. Thanks Bosco.

Wow! That is really beautiful. I'm going to try to learn that one.
Speaking of fiddles...what kind of fiddle do you usually play, Bosco?
Jeff Menzies told me that he has you looking for a Nippon for him because he was so impressed with Kirk Sutphin's Nippon. I have a Cervini H300, but I don't play it much even though it has a powerful sound.
Wonderful fiddling, Bosco!
stay tooned....

Bosco,
I have heard of Sherm (Sherman?) Hammons. I haven't heard of Sharman.
I hope you won't think I'm giving you a 'hard time'. I just want to know I have the names right (at least the ones I've heard before).
Thank you for posting that recording!! Sounds like your fiddle is in high base tuning.
