Here's a message from Carolyn. Come on down if you are in the area. We had a blast last year.

Well, it's that time again folks, time for the 2nd Annual Phoenix Old Time Gathering!
This year we will start on Friday, March 11th at 5 p.m.and finish up on Sunday, March 13th around 2 p.m. or so.
We are planning a beginning old time fiddle workshop led by Mary Jane Epps, fiddler from Light and Hitch, the band that was the house band for the Augusta Heritage Center's Old Time Dance Week last summer in West Virginia! We also have Big Jim Griffith coming up from Tucson to do a banjo workshop. This should be good! We will also have a real Square Dance Saturday evening with caller Deb Comley coming down from Flagstaff and my band, Pick and Holler playing a set and possibly the Privy Tippers playing a set. We may have some performances scheduled on Saturday afternoon, sort of a "Caberet" where folks can get up and do a small 15 minute set or so. Give me your feedback on this idea.
We'll have a separate studio this year for workshops, and we should be adding more workshops in the next week, I will keep you updated. we have lots of space for sleep-overs so bring your sleeping bag and stay the weekend with us!
There will be lots of room for jamming, so bring your instruments, your friends, and most of all, yourselves!!

Thx, I really look forward to seeing y'all,
Carolyn

I've already told Carolyn about three times today that I am SO TOTALLY BUMMED I won't be able to make it this year because I have to leave the state for work. ![]()

Last year's Gathering was amazing. I've been looking forward all year toward the second one, which sounds like it will be even better. ![]()

Sounds like fun. I think I'll put it on my calendar, and see if I can get down there at least for Saturday

I just googled "phoenix old time gathering" and this post came up as #1. So it's a perfect opportunity to bump it up.
I will be there, even if I have to drive to Phoenix all alone. I was there last year and it was awesome. I even ordered a t-shirt from Carolyn.
P.S. If wormbower was really an OT music fan, he'd call in sick to be excused from whatever work-related thing he has to do. I hear there's a serious flu going around Tucson. And it's getting worse by the day.

It makes me sick just to think that I won't make it. But I did order a T-shirt. Carolyn says even no-shows can order shirts, as long as they pay with the same kind of money as the bonafide attendees.
