Hey all, I just got in tonight a used Olympus DS-30 voice recorder off of Ebay ..it seems to be working ...alittle hard to figure out since it's used and without paperwork... but I just did my first music recording with it ... Just go check my homepage recordings...it's titled Olympus DS-30 Billy in the Lowground ... all of my other recordings were done with the older Olympus WS-100 , which sounds muddy in comparison to the DS-30 ... just listen to my other recordings to hear the comparison ....so far, I like the new machine .... it records in WMA for good compression and I converted the file to MP3 .
Ive been forcing myself to work out of a C-position on the banjo while tuned for my normal G-tuning , so that I may decrease the amount of re-tuning while onstage .... I'd rather play in a dedicated C-tuning but learning how to do this is more useful for stage and jam playing ... Im starting to get the hang of it ...

How do you convert the WMA file to MP3?

I dont know how to do that with the Olympus products, kyfiddler1, but there are several shareware/freeware programs available on line that will do this.
