Ric,
How long you been playing?
I can tell you've been listening to a lot of Cajun music. A good rendition (I'm familiar with the tune), you got the slides real good (both down & up), you also have really good tone, so I'm going to assume that you are also controlling the bow well too. Actually, I can hear that you are, as there are no squeaks or other extraneous bow sounds. Just keep bowing from the elbow (not from the shoulder), use your wrist more.

Ric, I just listened to it three times. I'm amazed that someone who has been fiddling such a short time can play so well. Your timing of the slides, phrasing, internal pulse (of the tune), tone, projection....all are excellent, and so is your bluesy feel.
Very very good stuff! And I like your hat a lot.
stay tooned....

Mr. Glenn,
THANKS! for the kind words, I still have a long way to go...but having so much fun!!! I wish I would have started years ago. Lots & Lots of practice 3 to 4 hours a day and twice that on the week ends...I luv every minute of it, and my wife not complaining anymore..LOL...Just when I start learning a new tune over and over till it comes together.

Good one, Ric ! I've been playing (and singing) that tune for years and haven't got the feel for it that you have.
I first heard it on the movie "Southern Comfort" back in the '80's, Dewey Balfa playing it, and learned it from there. It's not your stereotypical Cajun tune, with the modal feel, rather than major key shuffle bowing that's more common. You do a great job.
