Great clip bosco. The three of you sound great together.
Not sure if "Honky Tonk" is exactly the right background banner since I didn't see any broken glass from long neck beer bottles.
But it's close enough I guess.. ![]()

What a great video!
What is the source of your band name?
There seems to be many tunes called Indian War Whoop.
-There is the tune played by Hoyt Ming & His Pepsteppers
-There is the tune you played (which I hadn't heard before, but really liked it!)
-There is a Norweigian-American tune by that name that I learned from Leonard Finseth in NW Wisconsin.
-I'm sure there are others....

The source of the band bame? It's Isaac's ancestor's company name.
And the source of the tune is Hilter Colvin. Also from Rafe Stefanini and Woody Woodring.

Very cool Bosco, I watched it several times. I love the tenor uke playing along and I must say the fiddling is just superb.![]()

Arigato very much. Yes, I must say it's a real treat to fiddle with Isaac's banjo and Heja's uke.

Hey, I'm a fiddler, and only know very little about banjos from my brother cause he plays banjo. My question is dealing with the banjo player, is he playing a certain style banjo because it looks like he's picking pretty high up on the strings. I was just wonderin, if anyone could answer that I would be much obliged.

Hey there Hayseed,
This is Isaac, the banjo player. To answer your question, IGenerally speaking I'm playing Clawhammer style. I started learning to play the banjo from a guy who spent a lot of time with players from around Mt. Airy, North Carolina--Tommy Jarrell in particular. Many but not all of the banjo players there played over the neck because of the tone it gets. Many people today refer to them as Round Peak players and that type of banjo playing as "Round Peak Style." Anyway I started out that way trying to emulate those players and just kind of got into the habit. These days I play there because I like the tone, but also because I'm a big guy and I just find that to play most shorter scale banjos comfortably, my picking hand just kind of ends up there.
Hope that helps!

Around where I live, majority of banjo players play Scruggs style, so I wasn't sure what style you were playing. Thanks for clearing that up.
