I picked up my banjo tonight and noodled up a version of Dixie on my modern fretted banjo , put it on my download page.... I can't imitate the early minstrels exact because we have no recordings to go by and I don't have a fretless banjo ( I do have fishing line for strings though ), so I tried to imagine what a good minstrel show banjo player might have done to Dixie if he had modern equipment .. Had some trouble guessing up in the high parts![]()
