Great sound ! Was the electric violin expensive? I mean it sounds great. Some say it's not a solution for neighbours but is it more silent when you plug head set in than let's say an accoustic violin with a heavy rubber coated mute?
Problem here is no sound isolation at all. House split into two appartements, one downstairs where my neighbour lives and one upstairs where I live. They put tile floor on the concrete...very smart :-/ I use large rubber mats with vinyl on top of it and several rugs on the tile floor and took a load of measures to reduce noise, but I'm the lucky one living upstairs . I don't hear a lot from downstairs, but even with all measures I took the woman downstairs apparantly hears a lot from what comes from my appartment. I try to play when I see she left the house, otherwise I mainly use two very nice sounding wooden mutes.

I just wonder if you as an electric player think electric could make the difference for reducing noise for my neighbour. When I practice new stuff in the beginning some parts sound really awful lol. I feel guilty at these moments.

It really sounds nice...and your playing is nice too. I couldn't tell on the YouTube, but seems it has more of a body to it than the electric ones I've seen. I would love to have one, why I don't know...lol...no time for playing anything right now but it does sound nice.

Congrats on getting a new fiddle...always a great thing!

Damn that sounds like a solution the way you explain it and I must admit the price is reasonable. Problem with acoustic is that a heavy rubber coated metal mute completely reduces all rich colors to something ... I don't like at all!
Sometimes , regarding fiddle expenses, I wish I had not bought the expensive Codabow I got (hope they don't read here :-p), I mean a while ago I bought a carbon fibre bow at Temu looking very similar and as they claim with Mongolian horse hair and honestly I like it better, I most often play with this bow, but then the wooden bow rocks when I am feeling very confident.
That coda bow Joule I got is supposed to be ideal for electric players. *calculates* So If I would buy an electric one, the value it has to me nowadays would increase perhaps.... (See that I need an electric violin :-D)

I thought of an electric violin before, but in my former rental house it was not necessary, the appartment now really asks for some practice solutions.

Thanks for your answers!!
