Looking to meet up with musicians or join jams while I am in the Kalispell, MT area for about 3.5 weeks in May. I may be able to travel as far as Missoula to jam. My skill level is intermediate and I play mostly old-time, but also know a few Irish tunes. Bluegrass is not a strong point for me but I am willing to try just about anything. Hope to hear from folks soon. Thanks.

Hmm nobody responded ... at least not publicly...?
I can only weigh in on the "few Irish tunes" end. According to the session.org, there are a couple of sessions running in Missoula. There was one in Kalispell (Sunrift Beer Co?) but it closed?
At least here, people tend to play more than one genre. Fiddlers here tend to also play OT ... our guitar player also does singer-songwriter stuff...so maybe just meeting people who play music, would be a way to hear about local OT jams? Hope you find some people to play music with! It's sure beautiful out there.
