I lost my father in 93 as a sophomore in Highschool. At that time, I had not discovered an instrument but had found Rock and Roll/Grateful Dead/and Grunge music, I guess. The alternative era had moved East. I grew up on Country music, but had close ties to Rap and Metal from skateboarding. Life was skateboarding and sports. Of course losing a parent at that age was rough. Fast forward. I started playing drums, then guitar and so on. I was about 19 during all of this discovery. It wasn't till years later that I started writing tunes. After hundreds of songs, I realized I had never written a song about Dad. He was a proud Marine and Vietnam vet and well, he died on Dec 7th. Pearl Harbor Day. It's not a very exciting song besides the story. Thanks for reading!
