...tuned it up to GCGC, tuned up the old banjo to Double C, and just played the ol' Alvarez guitar along...this is definitely not Old Time, not Bluegrass...I don't know what it is. But I used to play it every night back in the 70s when I played at the Steak House in Whitley Co...I don't know when or where I ever heard it to play it...I can't remember...maybe college...I don't know though. But somewhere I learned it and sang it all the time at the Steak House, and to my memory left it alone once I quit playing there. Then, walking the doggies through the woods by the Army Reserve, I saw a car with Colorado plates...and...BANG...this one popped into my brain. Got home and ran through it fast and sloppy...not my preference for recording a song, but it was all the time I had for it...then had a struggle with the Macbook...it just did NOT like the idea of my making a video today...lol...so...sloppy on that account too...finally made it through and got up a little song of the 70s, I guess...and then had to pedal as fast as I could to get things back under control...lol...so to speak. But 'nuff yakkin' about it...of course when I played it at the Steak House I could only play one instrument and sing one part, so it was a lot different...lol...here's how it came out today....

Thanks, Chickenman Billy! It's probably one of those dated 60s tree-hugger type songs, I guess...lol. Maybe too dated to work out for these days...but it was just fun to sing and play it today. Just what I needed, really...lol...so, well it worked for me...lol. Thanks for listening.

Enjoyed this, Peggy, thanks!
Fiddle sounds sweet tuned like that, and gentle banjo rhythm is relaxing...

Do you do "In my mind I'm going to Carolina"...
'cuz every state deserves its own tune, hehehe!
(Just kidding, no pressure :-)
