i think that acceptance as "The norm" would depend on which side of the fence a person is on. And whether a person was bothered by another's sexuality or not.
Imo it has been around for ever not just a long time. But it would be a good point to place a wedge, if one wanted to divide a society .....For whatever reason?
I just think it's weirder to be so concerned with who anyone loves or how they feel about their own bodies than it is to actually be gay or trans or any of that. Puzzles me why that should bother people so much and there's so much attention put toward that. If you don't like it, don't live that way, yourself...simple answer on that issue. I mean, bowing a fiddle is complicated and controversial...but letting people be who they are is simple...lol.
