D, Em, G, back to D, and again. . .
It sounds familiar, but I don't know?
Any guesses?

I wuz also thinking, later on, it sorta sounds like, You ain't Going Nowhere (Dylan). But I think that song has a ii, V, I, motif.  Well, there you go.

Steve, "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" doesn't use a V chord. Its I, ii, IV, I, etc. etc. "Second verse (and chorus) same as the first." So your progression would work, although I've always played it in G.

It's a stretch, but I could fit "Comfortably Numb" in there.

Thanks for the idea
