I was searching fiddlers on line and found out that James Price passed away a while back! I enjoyed his playing a lot.
Yep. One of my favorite of the bluegrass fiddlers. It was sad, unexpected news.
He was one of the greats. He even popped up on FHO a few times: fiddlehangout.com/archive/6896
He was a real character too.
His version of Lost John with the Goings Brothers Band is one of my favorites. He had Bluegrass chops but also a great feel for the Old Time tunes.
