...and if that didn't turn you away...I mean if you're still with me, ok. This thing popped into my head quite a while back...at that time I hurried through my thoughts and called it Cold Night Waltz just to record it so I wouldn't forget...you know how common it is to think you came up with something original and then by the time you stop mowing, mopping, whatever it is...the thing is just totally gone. Then another thing that happens to me, if something seemingly original happens in my head, my big fear is it sounds so familiar I fear it's just fragments of memory of something already in existence I heard at some point or other. If you listen and recognize this as something else, let me know so I can put a correct title and "composer" onto it. There's not a whole lot to it.

Well but anyway...I'm calling it Tree Top Waltz now...and probably misspelling it...I had the fiddle in standard and boy, I'm tellin' ya...yesterday was NOT one of my best fiddling days...lol. I'm not sure when I'm at my "best," but I was struggling...I tried a few times and just had to give up for lack of time to keep going...so...it's some shaky fiddling and terrible double stops. Sorry 'bout that. I might try again to get this better sometime. For now it's all I've got. If you listen, hope it doesn't hurt your ears...lol...and thanks in advance.

Peggy, you've got nothing to apologize for. There's so much emotion in that tune, I can't describe it. There's cream. There's syrup. There's frosting! And a fine turnaround to boot! I think we're the lucky ones cuz you had that fiddle handy when the tune came! I'm wareing out my exclamation button!

Well, Steve...I mean...I sure appreciate...though I'm sure it's undeserved. But thank you for the little musical boost, and i am very glad to hear that you liked it...means a lot.

Loy...thank you so much, my friend. And here's (holding up the cup) to a great week for you too!

Exciting news...or maybe the opposite of exciting...lol...was chattin' with FHO friend Rich, who was describing the wonders of de caf...lol...so...we bought a can of decaf (that's the one and only kind of de caf they had at Costco) this morning...gonna try to make the pots we have from suppertime to bedtime with decaf...I'll have to report back to Rich on that after a few days....lol. But my morning and afternoon coffee with be full steam as usual.

Been drinking half caf for years now, sure good coffee, after 4-5 cups during the morning hours no shakes! Lol! Do kinda miss the ol’ caffeine buzz though!

decaf just hasn't been part of my world...lol. I've been drinking tons of coffee for so long I don't know how easily we'll get used to it. Got my pot of decaf going right now...the only one we saw at Costco is a finer grind than what we usually use, so I've made about 3 pots trying to find the right amount...I think I got it right this afternoon. Just gonna see if there are positive changes from switching to afternoon/ evening decaf. I'm trying to come to terms with a cascade of "stuff" that's just put my brain into a whirlwind of never knowing how to handle stuff...we'll see if decaf helps me in my quest for dealing with one thing at a time...lol.
