This is listed locally for $125 which sounds like a good deal. Seller claims there it is a Kennedy Violins -- Antonio Giuliani Primo Violin Outfit. But she can't find a label in it to take a picture of the label. She has an image of the quality control checklist from Kennedy and a copy of an what looks like an electronic receipt with the model name for $475. It's fairly local so I might check it out. But, not being a player yet, I can only go by my general knowledge of musical instrument. The case does look like the one in the current add for that model.
Can anyone tell if it looks legit?
The only thing one can know from this picture is that it is a violin shaped object. Without better and close up photos of scroll, and other areas, can;t tell much more. More importantly, how does it sound? This is most assuredly a China made instrument and there are real garbage ones being made all the way up to award winning violins made there. I know someone who imports China made fiddles in the white, by the 100's. Out of those 65% are turned into student level beginner fiddles, another 20% are made into decent players grade ones and a few in each batch are worth spending time to develop the instruments sound and quality.
