The edgework and varnish do look like Mirecourt work. Better and more pictures would help. The label identifies it as a “French violin, Strad model.” There is a stamp to the right that has a logo and the words “Schutz Marke” or “trademark.” A clearer photo of the whole label or that logo might help to show where the label may have originated. However, don’t get too caught up on labels—they’re easy to forge and fake or switch.

Probably worth that pretty easily as long as there are no major issues. Something happened to the neck at the button that would be worth careful examination. If the button broke, that would affect value substantially (it's hard to tell if there are cracks, but the varnish at the purfling under the button is clearly disturbed and it looks like the neck and button were separated and reglued at some point.
But excluding any serious issues, that price is very low for this violin, so it will be a great bargain if it turns out well.

interesting, the lady is selling this same violin for $2000NZD, so $1800 more than what she bought it for, which is $200nzd.
wish i had the knowledge and confident to buy it then. However, i did not realise the violin could worth this much. I also seems to feel that such price is rather subjective and only worth as much as someone wants to value it such way and a buyer to agree on the same value.
