I used to play with Dwight "Red" Lamb many years ago. When he played a tune, if it wasn't too hard, it really enticed me to learn it and play it. Red played Down Yonder years ago on television. There was a semi-local show that spotlighted local and traditional talent. Eventually, Red was made a Fellow of/for the National Endowment of the Arts. IOW, a National Treasure. Well deserved. A nicer guy you will never meet.

This fiddle, I hadn't played for a while. It's a Sebastián Goetz, Maggini. (Y'know, double purffling) Not terribly valuable, but to me with it's backstory. It belonged to a dear departed friend. Our luthier friend, still living, sold it to him. I, in turn, purchased it from his widow. So, I guess I'm the custodian now. I think it has a nice tone. Old, still good, Prim strings.
