Hi,
I've just picked up an electric violin but the preamp/pickup isn't working. On the battery case is the only place any model number is mentioned and it's HVPV-30. When i search for this a lot comes up referencing other violins but nothing explaining what the acronym means or where to get a replacement part. Can anyone assist with the meaning of HVPV and where I could find a replacement part?

HVPV-30 is the model number for a Cecilio electric violin. Looking online I see that these sell new for about $120, so it's likely that it'll be cheaper to replace the violin than to find a compatible part elsewhere. Cecilio markets violins but I don't think they offer much in the way of maintenance or replacement parts because their products are made to be the cheapest option on the market and they don't invest in quality or longevity because they make their money from mass production.
