Thank you Alex for reminding me of that fine tune I used to play decades ago with my good pal Charlie Bailey, just over the state line in the Rocky Ridge section of Birmingham. We took it a good deal faster and he sang a few different words, like ...old Parson Brown goes dancin' around, and ...old Aunt Jemima she's past 83. Back then I picked it on the 5-string, or at least tried to in the key of C, but Charlie showed me the fiddle version I still play now, the one he learned from his friend Al Lester up there in Muscle Shoals. Good memories for sure
