This link was forwarded to me. It is a site that was created to identify and highlight old time stringbands, dance bands, and musicians during the the folk revival. It has some music, album titles, dates, and a bit of history for a few.

This is a huge endeavor. Hard to imagine what it took to get it where it is at right now. Even harder to imagine adding to, refining, and maintaining a data base like this. It is obvious from going through a bit of it - that it is a long way from being complete, but who would know when you have collected all there is?

Thought I would share it. Some of us will fine it interesting. Enjoy.

Just as online tune list sites can't keep up with the number of tunes available, I suspect that trying to keep up with the number of string bands would also be a daunting job..
