Sounding great!
Purty tune.
And such synchronized “Stops”! Do you have a musical Leader or do you just all decide what to work on/play again? How many times do you practice a tune before performing?
Cold Frosty Morning is a great tune, I enjoyed a version by Groundhog Peggy…lemme see if I can dig it up…
Ramblings on Cold Frosty Morn:

Here in “Media”, DS Reiner’s playing blows me away.
There are all the pros, but to me nothing beats music played by familiar people! (I know DS Reiner from going to online fiddle hell :-)

We've all played this for many years, however this was our 2nd take. Appreciate ya checking it out! Typically, I'm passing the solos and what nots with subtle clues. I love her content. She's a chill fiddler!!!

It's like those fiddle tunes. You can jump in a circle and a group can whip up a pretty good version on the fly if everyone knows a similar take. A funny point to this song is in fact those stops. Some people do them and some don't. So as long as everyone knows, it's easier to get it. As well as the chorus...many try to put a 5 chord in the chorus when it actually just stays on the 1 the whole time. I guess a lot of times too it's up the singer of the song to dish out the breaks. Some people are concentrating while playing that it's hard to dish them out. I enjoy that role many times because it's frustrating when no one takes the solo and you're just a strum fest. I like when pickers are seemless at swithcing them so it flows, and hell...I'm a fan of a little toe stepping ya know...? Also keeps it interesting
Yea I used to play in a blue-grassy/americana jam and breaks got called out by name ( our leader was a very good banjo player who could do this without missing a note).
I noticed that handily, everybody had a one-syllable name (Frank! Dave! Mike!). Even if you didn’t have a one syllable name, I think they gave you a one-syllable nickname, LOL ... but our group was big and needed Yelling ( not elegant, but it worked).
I also love it when the good pickers do the switch!

I hope my posts aren't too obsessive? I go on YouTube and here...that's about it. One day I hope to share some fiddle content but for now, just trad grass.
Nope, not obsessive…
to me, talking about music is more interesting than the usual social media stuff…:-)
This morning I played a lot of “Blarney Pilgrim” (the jig from Titanic movie?) and “Green Fields of America” ( I might post here someday, it’s kind of a crossover tune). OK, going to go clean out fridge (sorely needed) and Dropbox some work stuff…bye for now!

Good!
Same here. I don't do social media besides YouTube. I'm grateful I can listen and watch music all day while work. Grateful is an understatement! I wish folks/members posted more videos of their playing. Fiddling is my world now. Although I need to break off and do other music. It helps the creative itch.
