Still playing with the new toy, bit short of any slow airs if anyone has any ideas.
I am not too sure if the leccy is good for jigs and such. It's a very strange sensation for me actually hearing with both ears as opposed to the closest to the fiddle getting most of the sound.

I just got an electric fiddle, just a cheap one, $200 off of facebook marketplace. You get a much better sound that I do. On an acoustic fiddle, I can minimize the bow noise and get a clean tone. On the electric it is much more difficult to control the bow noise.

Did you set up the electric diffrently from the acoustic?

I am going to try new strings (Dominants). Also, I have on order an IR loader effects pedal. It looks like an IR loader can greatly improve the tone and control the bow noise.
Here is where I first saw a demo .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBt4AkQnF3E

There are IR files availble that have captured the tone of Strads and Graunari fiddles

The fiddle came as it was, Bridge is fixed and such like, I haven't touched it, even the strings are the cheap ones that came with it, the fiddle is a hidersine, 219 quid, it does have faults though, like the neck is fractionally slimmer than on my acoustic, which does make a difference for me with finger placement, I put it through a Roland cube 40 watt, which is agreat little amp.

That loader you mention sounds very interesting, I am going to take a close look at that.
