Just felt like Boll Weevil today...of course, it caused us to skip lunch...lol...now the question is do I make us a late lunch or just hang on until suppertime? Have to ponder that one for a minute or two...anyway, here's my Boll Weevil for today. youtu.be/akgDul7TYTc?si=6IVd-nVM_jjJfImv

Great stuff Peggy. Are you using your cello for the bass? sounds really modal, and comes in just right. Good sound altogether. Cheers!

Thanks, Pete. No I gave my cello away a while back because it frustrated me even more than a harmonica...lol...just could not play it. What I do now is record on another instrument and found out you can take it down 12 steps and get it down an octave...so, on this one I was messin' with the dulcimer and had two or three dulcimer tracks... a couple of them were taken down an octave on the machine. I used to borrow a bass from a friend, but after I discovered you can transpose stuff down an octave on the presonus...I started using either a guitar, banjo, fiddle or whatever to play my bass parts...gave the bass back because I didn't use it anymore after that. I've also played a fiddle part and taken it down an octave and it pretty much sounds like a cello...I think I did that on Gum Tree Canoe that I did just recently. So...yeah it's just high tech stuff i've managed to stumble onto by accidentally hitting something that I didn't know what the function of was...and made discoveries. I'm really happy I made the transpose discovery...because I can do a lot with just three or four different instruments now

By the way, here is the Gum Tree Canoe that has fiddle transposed on the machine and played as a, what sounds like, cello.  This little pretend "cello" doesn't come in until the third time through on the verses...I don't know the footage number but if you jump over about I guess 3/4 of the way into the video you might find the verse that sounds ( I hope!) like it has a cello playing with the singing.  https://youtu.be/EAsBb3ylk6w?si=qEWFj8Jw5f34frJt
