It's a musky rat...lol. I haven't done much with recording lately...we've sorta wandered into a whole peck o' trouble and just havin' a hard time getting out of it all...hard to explain the specifics, but, whew...it's been just absolutely crazy. I've learned to never help people or allow myself to be too naieve and empathetic again...lol...causes a lot of trouble on down the road. Hard to recuperate from it all.
Anyway, I haven't been able to spend hardly any time at all playing my instruments, and the most singin' I do is while washing dishes (thank goodness we don't have a dishwasher, so at least I do get some singin' time!)...and so with what little time I've had to spend...here today I tried to record and found my ipad all cranky and just refusing to do much without a battle, our computer hooked up to the presonus acting all weird like it doesn't know me anymore, and even youtube...gotta get apps to upload a youtube now...and my ipad doesn't like to take on apps because it says i am the content hog of the century and always putting too much stuff on it...so, then I have to always be removing anything I have on there...yeah it was hard to do this...lol. Well then anyway, I didn't make a scratch track because I didn't have enough time, so my timing is uneven...I guess it came out more crooked than I like...I'm not a big fan of crooked too much, ya know...plus, then I re-did the fiddle break because I didn't feel like it was much good...couldn't decide which one I disliked the most, so then accidentally had them both playing at the same time at one point and deicded..."Ok, there's my answer...I'll just let the two groundhog bad fiddle breaks fight it out together on this one here." So there's my story...this one is also called Groundhog, but there's other tunes called Groundhog, so...sometimes i've called this one groundhog...or whatever else comes to mind. Ive heard it done a lot of different ways too...but this was my mood today with the little bit of time I could squeeze out of my wacky day. Hoping I can manage to get back into more presonus time...but it's been tough. Oh yeah...got the fiddle tuned to the Cumberland Gap style intervals...ADAD, except down one for C, and the dulcimer is in C...banjo in double C without the chord shapes, which becomes C modal...at least in my thinking it does, and that's what I've always called it under certain circumstances. So anyway..if you're still awake...lol...here's a little bit of Muskrat... youtu.be/MVhYaopjCb8?si=0CkZB1NO7iQpDgq5

Great tune and job on it, love the frailing, tried to do that on banjo and can't get the hang of it.
